The new MUPH winner has already been named and here’s the reaction of Michelle Dee to the epic crowning moment.
Miss Universe Philippines 2024 is Chelsea Manalo who represented Bulacan. The grand coronation night was on Wednesday, May 22, and she bested 52 other candidates during the much-awaited coronation night held at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Four other Filipina beauty queens were also crowned to represent the country in international pageants.

- Pampanga’s Cyrille Payumo is Miss Charm Philippines 2024
- Iloilo’s Alexie Mae Brooks is Miss Eco International Philippines 2024
- Quezon Province’s Ma. Ahtisa Manalo is Miss Cosmo Philippines 2024
This is the pageant’s third year as a standalone pageant and this year is the first edition to have no age restrictions for the candidates.
Manalo is Michelle Dee’s successor and in a post, MMD quipped, “The crowning moment though…”
She was referring to the moment when she just put the crown on top of the new winner and let her balance it. She eventually fixed it but her followers expressed that what happened actually showed the good posture of the new winner as she was able to balance it.

Meanhwhile, in the Top 5 question and answer portion, Manalo was asked: “You are beautiful and confident, how will you use these qualities to empower others?”
Her winning answer was:
“As a woman of color, I have always faced challenges in my life. I was told that beauty has standards actually. But for me, I have listened and always believed in my mother to always believe in yourself, and uphold the values that you have in yourself. Because of this, I am already influencing a lot of you facing me right now as a transformational woman. I have here 52 other delegates with me who have helped me be the woman that I am. Thank you.”
Manalo is set out to get the 5th Miss Universe crown for the Philippines. She will represent the Philippines at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Mexico. The country already has 4 Miss Universe after the victories of Gloria Diaz (1969), Margie Moran (1973), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), and Catriona Gray (2018).
