PAGASA Says ITCZ to Affect PH Weather Condition on Tuesday (June 20, 2023)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy skies with rains over some parts of the country.
On Tuesday (June 20, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that Intertropical Convergence Zone will be affecting Mindanao and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

“Ang buong bahagi ng Luzon, kasama na d’yan ang Metro Manila, ay makakaranas pa rin ng bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan, [pero] meron pa rin tayong posibilidad ng isolated na pag-ulan, kidlat, at kulog lalo na sa hapon o gabi dulot ng localized thunderstorms,” Pagasa Weather Specialist Grace Castañeda said.
The localized thunderstorms may bring isolated rains, lightning, and thunder, especially in the afternoon or evening.
“Parts of Visayas and Mindanao may also expect partly cloudy skies with chances of rain showers,” she added.

PAGASA said that no tropical cyclone is expected to develop or affect the Philippine vicinity
The weather agency has warned the public of possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather agency.
