PAGASA Says ITCZ to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring isolated rainshowers over some parts of the country.

On Saturday (June 17, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy weather condition, isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The ITCZ / Localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over the entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
