PAGASA Says ITCZ to Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring rains over some parts of the country.
On Monday (June 19, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will be affecting Mindanao. The southwest monsoon has further weakened and is no longer affecting the country’s weather condition.

Weather specialist Chenel Dominguez clarified that habagat season has not ended yet.
“Hindi na po siya (habagat) nakakaapekto sa ating bansa, Humina lang po siya. Kapag nagtapos po ‘yung habagat, in transition na po tayo to amihan, so hindi pa naman po, humina lang po siya,” Dominguez said.
The ITCZ / Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have generally fair weather condition. “Ang ine-expect po natin ay generally fair weather lang pero asahan ang mga pag-ulan sa hapon at gabi dulot ng localized thunderstorms,” she added.
The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition throughout the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
