These are the messages of Its Showtime dads to their children.
ITS SHOWTIME – Jhong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, and Ogie Alcasid become emotional as they talked about being a father in the noontime show.
Father’s Day is just around the corner but fathers are meant to be celebrated every day, not just for one day. Like a mother, a father is also a pillar in the development of a child’s emotional well-being.
We often see them as the tough house head we have and a provider but behind these is a love that is unconditional.
And recently, in a recent Showtime episode, the dads of the show became emotional as they talk about how it is to become a father. They discussed their ups and downs but they all fall on the same thing, their love for their children.
Jhong Hilario now has a 2-year-old daughter and he is so proud of her. At such an early age, she can already make a lot of people happy. He shared how “bibo” she is as a child and that his heart is filled with happiness because of this.
She is his greatest joy and is the best gift he has received. She made him a father and all he wanted her to become is to be god-fearing and to have a relationship with other people.
As for Vhong Navarro, he reflected on the times he has fallen short as the father of his two sons. He did the best way he can to be with them and to provide for them but it seems not enough for him. He admitted to falling short of spending time with them but now they are old, all that he wants is to spend a lot of time with them.
He wants to make up for the lost time and this time, he wanted to make it right as their father.
OPM icon Ogie Alcasid, meanwhile, got emotional while talking about his two daughters with his previous wife. It is not a secret what happened to them but if there’s one thing he realized about their unconventional situation, it is to spend as much time as he can for them.
He has fallen short as a father to his daughters but he makes sure to make up for it within the little time given to them.
He stressed that the most important part of it all is giving thanks to God, the only One who is able to fill in the gaps and proved everything.
“Thank you for blessing us despite our shortcomings. Yung mga pagkakamali namin sa buhay, Kayo po ang nagpapatawad sa main at kayo po ang pumupuno and You provide for us,” he expressed.
