Netizens noticed these meaningful statements made by Vice Ganda on It’s Showtime
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda appeared to have this “patutsada” amid the recent issue with PPop group SB19.
The issue started when a contestant in the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime requested to play Gento, the recent single from the Pagtatag EP of the PPop Kings, for his dance performance.
Vice said that they can no longer play the song because the group is already “naningil.” With disbelief, Anne Curtis said, “Ay talaga? May ganoon pala.” She added that they could play a part in promoting the song.
Because of this, negative reactions were thrown at SB19 as critics said that they are now focused on the monetary aspect. Some social media comments even accused the boys of being “mukhang pera.”
With this, A’tins, the fandom of the PPop group retaliated. They pointed out that people should understand that songs have copyright and public usage of these requires payment, especially Vice and Anne who are also in the entertainment industry.
On Monday, June 12, videos of Vice Ganda appeared to have addressed this issue with his signature humor circulated. During the Isip Bata segment, one of the questions was the reason why friends are hugging each other.
The comedian mentioned these three choices: “Namimiss ang isa’t-isa, natatakot, nagse-celebrate, o na-bash silang dalawa?” He was laughing and Anne laughed with him. A video clip of this was shared by the fan’s Twitter page @VICEXANNE.
Aside from this, during the same segment, Vice Ganda mentioned asking for payment. Twitter user @altcristyfermin shared a clip showing that after the boy’s song performance, the comedian-host said, “Oh tapos anak singilin mo anak singilin mo.”
