An alleged drunk college student elicits reactions online after he engaged in a heated argument with a teacher inside a classroom.
A video of a college student, purportedly intoxicated, getting into a heated argument with a senior high school teacher inside a classroom has gone viral online. The incident reportedly took place on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.
According to reports, the teacher was trying to remove the college student from the class as the student insisted on sitting there. The teacher claimed that the student smelled of alcohol, a claim that the student vehemently denied.
As tensions escalated and the student refused to leave, the school’s security personnel were called in to intervene.
“Wala akong kasalanan ginawa akong lasinggero, isipin mo yun isipin mo ‘yon. Ginawa akong lasinggero ng teacher na ‘yan!,” the student complained.
Meanwhile, it was discovered that the incident occurred at STI College Ortigas-Cainta. The school administration stated that they are taking the matter seriously and are committed to addressing it promptly and responsibly.
“We take this matter very seriously and are committed to addressing it promptly and responsibly. The views expressed by the intoxicated student in the video do not align with the values and principles of the institution,” STI College Ortigas-Cainta School Administrator Jezreez Rodavia said.
The school refrained from providing further details regarding the incident due to privacy regulations they adhere to.
However, they assured that a thorough investigation is underway, and they are in contact with all parties involved to gain a better understanding of the situation. The school promised to implement the necessary actions.
The Department of Education (DepEd) stated that they will look into the situation, but since the school in question is private, it follows its own disciplinary rules.
