Heart Evangelista admitted that she is a “late bloomer”
Fashion icon Heart Evangelista said that she remained a sweet girl even though she is in her 30s now but when it comes to this aspect, her sweetness is subsiding.
Heart technically grew up before the public’s eye. She started her career at a young age and Filipinos saw her transformation over the years. From her “pa-tweetums” roles, she did drama projects, ventured into hosting, and now, she is known as a fashion influencer.
Her acting career is taking a back seat as she is now busy attending various fashion events on different sides of the world.
Whatever the transformation she went through, Heart Evangelista said that she is still the same sweet girl, based on the article in Inquirer. However, the fierce side of her is coming out when the situation requires her to do so.
“I’m still sweet, but now I know when to put my foot down. I will fight for myself this time around—hindi na ako makakawawa ng kahit na sino. And I love that!” the wife of Senator Chiz Escudero said.
Although Heart has been expressive of what she feels, she said that it was just lately when she became more vocal about what she thinks, wants, and her sentiments.
She said that even before, she wants to speak her mind but there was a certain worry because she did not know how to put her feelings into words and this might hurt other people.
“As an actress, you’re expected to follow a certain mold. So being able to put my message across is already very empowering, having a voice,” the Kapuso star said. Recalling her younger years when she can’t travel alone yet, Heart said that this makes her laugh because she just cried when she couldn’t figure out connecting flights.
