Actor-host Matteo Guidicelli has this reason why he decided to join the GMA Public Affairs.

Matteo has done several acting and hosting projects in the course of his showbiz career. However, when his negotiation with GMA, which almost lasted for a year, finally came to finality, he chose to be in the public affairs department.

His first project as a Kapuso is the morning show Unang Hirit. Previously, the husband of Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo said that he was thankful for the warm welcome he received from the UH family.

In an interview on the Updated with Nelson Canlas podcast, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Matteo Guidicelli said that being part of the army has something to do with his decision to work under GMA Public Affairs.

He said that by joining this department, he aims to tell the story of Filipinos. “Actually, ito po. Itong opportunity dito sa GMA Public Affairs, ito po talagang pinagpray-an ko at pinangarap ko talaga to be able to have a platform to tell, represent the Filipino people,” the actor-host said.

He also shared that when he joined the army, his perspective in life broaden and he was prompted to use his platform to tell the inspiring stories of Filipinos. Matteo also said that there is a lot that Filipinos can offer to the world.
