Vic Sotto and Jose Manalo have a new sitcom with Maja Salvador
Kapuso comedian Jose Manalo reveals something about the charisma of veteran comedian Bossing Vic Sotto.
Vic and Jose have already done several projects together. They are also working together as hosts in the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga. Just recently, it was announced that they will star in a new sitcom.
The project is titled Open 24/7 and this will also feature Maja Salvador. Just recently, a press conference was held for this upcoming series.
Jose Manalo shared that Vic Sotto is easy to work with. Although the veteran comedian is being called Bossing, Jose said that he is actually easy to get along with. “‘Pag kasama mo siya sa likod ng camera, ordinaryo na kaibigan mo, barkada mo, kapatid mo,” Jose said.
He believes that rapport is being formed behind the camera and they are able to bring it in front of the camera.
Then, Jose mentioned the “charisma” that Bossing Vic has. “Tsaka ‘yung charisma kasi ni Bossing iba, e. Parang si Tito Dolphy, hindi pa nagsasalita or kahit sabihin mo ulitin pa ‘yung ginagawa- matatawa at matatawa ka pa rin. Hindi masyadong expression ‘yung mukha, pero the way papaano i-deliver,” he shared.
Meanwhile, Vic Sotto said that it is a new chapter in his partnership with Jose Manalo. The veteran comedian also said that the younger comedian is a team player. Bossing also described Jose as a “good actor” and not just making an effort to make the people laugh.
“Kumbaga, sersoyo siya doon sa role niya. Hindi lang basta nagpapapalo ng ulo,” Vic said and then laughed. He added that Jose as a comedian has “sustansiya.”
