Bohol’s Pauline Amelinckx gets 10 special awards!
PAULINE AMELINCKX – Pageant veteran Pauline Amelinckx receives 10 special awards during the prelims of Miss Universe Philippines 2023.
This year’s Miss Universe Philippines pageant is its fourth edition and joining the pageant for the third time is Pauline Amelinckx and she is representing Bohol. She was Miss Bohol 2017, Miss JCI Philippines 2017, and Miss Global Beauty Queen Philippines 2018.
And in the recently concluded prelims of the competition, she bagged the most awards.
Pauline bagged 10 special awards.
These special awards are:
- Miss Creamsilk Ultimate
- Miss Soen
- Miss Kemans Body
- Miss Origee Beauty Drink by Skin Magical
- Miss Hello Glow
- Miss Jojo Bragais
- Miss Titan Universe
- Miss Enderun
- Miss Smilee Apparel
- Miss Avana
During the preliminary competition, candidates of Baguio, Bohol, Cebu province, Davao Oriental, Lapu-lapu, Makati, Marinduque, Parañaque, Pasig, Sorsogon, and Zambales stood out.
2022 Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi was also a special guest who expressed her excitement to see who the next queen will be.
For this year, from 38 candidates, only 18 of them will be able to proceed to the semifinals and this will be based on their closed-door interview, swimsuit, evening gown competition, and special challenges scores.
Apart from Pauline, another pageant veteran, Michelle Dee of Makati City, also received several awards like Miss Pond’s, Miss Aqua Boracay, and Miss Zion Philippines while Angelique Manto of Pampanga took home Miss Avon, Miss Okada, Miss Jewelmer, and Miss Cavaso awards.
According to a report from ABS-CBN, MUPH national director Shamcey Supsup-Lee said, “So proud of them. I can see the transformation from the screening ’til today. I really feel the organization is proud of their growth. Eto na ‘yung graduation.”
The live coronation night will be on May 13.
Meanwhile, the Philippines holds four Miss Universe winners: Gloria Diaz (1969), Margarita Moran (1973), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), and Catriona Gray (2018).
