MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES – Here’s how to apply for the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant.
Miss Universe Philippines is a beauty pageant and organization that selects the country’s official representative for the Miss Universe pageant. The reigning MUPH is Celeste Cortesi of Pasay. The Fil-Italian beauty queen and model was crowned on April 30, 2022, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
In December 2019, the MU franchise in the Philippines was officially granted to a new organizing body with Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2011 and Miss Universe 2011 third runner-Up, Shamcey Supsup-Lee as its national director.
With the return of Celeste Cortesi to the country, sporting a new haircut and coif comes an invitation from the MUPH organization for hopefuls to file their applications for this year’s national pageant; albeit in a quieter manner than its previous blitz filled with pomp and funfare.
The Philippines’ 12-year semifinal streak (from 2010 to 2021) came to an end at the just concluded 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana when Celeste failed to make the Top 16.

In a post on its Instagram account last January 24, MUPH wrote: “Are you the one for the crown? Being a queen doesn’t stop with the beauty that is seen with the naked eye. It takes commitment, determination, and most importantly, it takes heart. Send your applications now.”
Interested parties can access the form at https://bit.ly/MUPH2023 and submit completed applications to [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is February 5 at 11:59 p.m. Aspiring beauty queens must be Filipino female citizens, regardless of civil status, and between the ages of 18 and 27.
