Pinoy Artist & Lady Customer Reached an Understanding After Controversial Conversation
The viral Pinoy artist and his lady customer have reconciled after the controversial conversation about fee and use of Bible verses.
After a controversial exchange of messages between a Pinoy artist Chaboy Dela Cruz and a customer who wanted to commission him for a drawing, the two have reportedly reached an understanding.
In a Facebook post, Dela Cruz shared that he had chatted again with the female customer and that they have settled their differences. He added that the reason he posted their previous conversation was to raise awareness that his profession is not free and that using the word of God for things that have no significance is inappropriate.
Dela Cruz also mentioned that he hopes their recent altercation will be a lesson for the woman and that the negative comments against her will lessen. He acknowledged that she seems to be regretful of her previous behavior and he hopes that she will not repeat it in the future.
The incident began when the customer identified as Ante Fhatima messaged Dela Cruz, asking if he could draw her for free. He politely declined and informed her that his art is not free. The woman even send a Bible verse.
Dela Cruz’s response was met with criticism from some netizens, who found it inappropriate for the woman to use religion to justify not paying for his services. However, Dela Cruz clarified that he was not offended by the Bible verse, but by the woman’s refusal to understand that his work is not free.
“Para naman po sa recent post ko about sa kanya, nagkaayos na po kami Mas okay na po iyon para po ma-lessen na din yung mga negative comments against her, mukang nagsisi narin naman po siya. Hopefully, hindi niya na po ulit ito ulitin in the future,” Dela Cruz said.
