Richard Gomez, Lucy Torres Marks Silver Wedding Anniversary
RICHARD GOMEZ – The celebrity couple is celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, they renewed their vows.
Rep. Richard Gomez and Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez have been together for almost three (3) decades now. They are blessed with a beautiful daughter named Juliana Gomez, a fencing champ like her father.
The couple is one of the famous couples that many people admire for having long-lasting relationships. Rumors of Richard and Lucy’s breakup have only recently surfaced.
Reggee Bonoan, an entertainment columnist for the Bandera, asked a person close to Richard Gomez about the rumors. “Ha, ha, ha kaloka ang isyu. E, magkasama lang sila ni Lucy sa Bench Fashion show last weekend? Natural hindi sila magkasama sa mga interviews ni Goma kasi nasa Ormoc parati si Lucy, siya mayor, eh,” a source close to the actor-politician said.
The source went on to say that it is impossible for Richard and Lucy to split up because they love each other so much and have been so supportive of each other’s accomplishments.

At the Sts. Peter and Paul Paris in Ormoc City, Lucy Torres and Richard Gomez exchanged “I Dos” for the second time as they renewed their vows in a simple wedding. Last April 28, the couple’s vows were renewed by Msgr. Gilbert Urbina, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Palo.
“Thank you for 25 beautiful years of always loving each other every day. Looking forward to our Golden Anniversary in the next 25 years,” Richard wrote on Instagram.
On April 28, 1998, the couple also were married at the same parish, according to an advisory posted on Ormoc’s social media page.
