Juliana Gomez is more inclined to sports
Fencer Juliana Gomez said that she can’t see herself acting in front of the camera like her parents, celebrity-politicians Richard Gomez, and Lucy Torres.
Juliana is one of the celebrity kids who grew up before the public’s eye. Although her parents did not expose her that much to the entertainment industry, people have a glimpse of her growing-up years.
Right now, Juliana is making her name in the field of fencing. Last November, she won the Thailand Open Fencing Championship. Just recently, she won the Gold in the West Java Fencing Challenge 2022 in Bogot, Indonesia.
Richard is indeed proud of her daughter’s achievement in fencing. To recall, the actor-politician also represented the Philippines as part of the national fencing team. In a previous interview, Richard shared that he avoided showing his daughter the trophies and awards he got in sports and acting.
He said that it is because he does not want to put pressure on Juliana Gomez when it comes to achieving what she wants. As she is the daughter of two famous celebrities, it is expected by many people that she will soon enter showbiz.
However, based on the article in Newsko, during a recent interview on the Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel podcast, Juliana said that she can’t see herself being in the entertainment industry. On the other hand, she is not totally closing her doors.
“I don’t really see myself as an actress, just because I grew up a very shy, little girl. So I never considered it, but it’s something that I definitely I won’t say no to, like it’s an absolute no. Because showbiz has been very good to my parents, my dad especially. That’s where he really started and that’s where he’s been for the most of his life,” Juliana Gomez said.
