Mark, a concerned netizen, shared his reaction to a video he uploaded after attending the Aurora Festival in Clark, Pampanga.
In his story, Mark Vincent Monedero recounted that he took the video on the second day of the event. Upon witnessing the aftermath of the festival, Mark expressed his concern about the lack of discipline among some concert-goers when it comes to proper waste disposal.
In the video, Mark captured scenes of litter scattered across the festival grounds, with plastic cups, food wrappers, and other debris strewn about. He was disappointed to see the aftermath of the festival marred by the careless disposal of trash.
“It was a total chaos. May mga trash cans na available naman pero super undisciplined ng mga tao. Iniiwan lang nila yung mga trash nila like beer cans, styro, pinagkainan, etc. Nangamoy ihi pa sa Gold area dahil may mga ayaw pumila at sa gilid nalang umiihi,” Monedero said.
Mark expressed his hope that concert-goers would be more responsible and mindful about disposing of their trash in designated bins or waste receptacles provided during the festival.
He emphasized the importance of practicing proper waste management and being respectful of the environment, especially in large events and gatherings where the accumulation of trash can be significant.
The concerned netizen urged others to be more conscious of their actions and to take responsibility for keeping public spaces clean and free from litter. He highlighted the need for collective efforts to promote sustainability and protect the environment for future generations.
“Kung hindi lang dahil sa mga paborito naming banda, hindi talaga magiging masaya ang experience,” he added.
