Recently, in an interview, Pres. Bongbong Marcos was asked if he is in favor of moving the start of the summer break in schools to March. The 65-year-old Chief Executive expressed that it is being studied as many people suggest it. He stressed that most schools in the country now are on face-to-face classes as the lockdown is over and only a few schools are not.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Pres. Bongbong Marcos raised the possibility of bringing back the old school schedules in the country but explained that there is still no decision with regards to the start of the actual semester and the vacation because there is still a rise in the COVID cases in the country.

“Yung global warming, climate change hindi na talaga biro. Kailangan natin gawin ang lahat para mabawasan ang epekto ng climate change para sa atin sa Pilipinas at sa buong mundo,” the Chief Executive said.

The weather and the pandemic are among the biggest factors with regards to the decision on the summer break in schools. Pres. Marcos said that a verdict might be released “soon”.
