Rochelle Pangilinan On How Being A Dancer Helped Her Acting Stints

Rochelle Pangilinan had a smooth transition from being a dancer to being an actress

Kapuso star Rochelle Pangilinan said that being a dancer helped her a lot when it comes to her acting stints.

Rochelle started her career in the entertainment industry as the leader of the all-female dance group S=zbomb Dancers which started in the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga.

Eventually, the dance group transitioned to acting and they had their own afternoon series Daisy Siete that lasted for many years, aside from their regular appearance on EB back then. somehow, it was not difficult for Rochelle because of her background in dancing.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Rochelle Pangilinan said that dancing was an advantage for her acting stints. “Nakatulong siya, ‘yung pagsasayaw. Kasi ‘yung timing, lahat, same rin siya ng pag-arte. Sa pag-arte may role kang kailangang gampanan,” she said.

She added this is the same thing when it comes to dancing as one can be sad if this emotion is needed and this can be done through dance contemporary. If the emotion is happy, the hip-hop dance can be done.

When she was told that she is now considered one of the Kapuso actresses, Rochelle Pangilinan could not help but feel “kilig.” This is an honor for her and she is thankful to be considered an actress and not just a dancer.

Currently, Rochelle is part of the Kapuso primetime series Mga Lihim Ni Urduja.
