Weather specialist Obet Badrina said that the tropical depression is expected to weaken into a low-pressure area by Wednesday or Thursday due to the land interaction, dry air intrusion, and increasing vertical wind shear.

Base sa ating forecast track, posibleng ito ay humina na by tomorrow morning, o mamayang gabi,” Badrina said.

Amang may bring 50-100 mm rainfall for Camarines Provinces and the southeastern portion of Quezon, Camarines Provinces, Quezon, Laguna, and Rizal.

Kadalasan kapag ang bagyo ay nasa kalupaan na, lalo na kung nasa tropical depression category, posible itong humina at maging isang ganap na low pressure area na lamang,” he added.

The weather bureau has advised small seacrafts to take precautionary measures when venturing out to sea.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 has been raised in the following areas:

•           Catanduanes

•           Sorsogon

•           Albay

•           Camarines Norte

•           Quezon including Polillo islands

•           Ticao Island

•           Burias Island

•           Aurora
