Chinese Dad Had His Son Play Mobile Game for 17 Hours Straight as Punishment
A child caught staying up late playing a mobile game was punished by being made to play continuously without rest!
Chinese netizens are currently criticizing a father in Shenzhen, China after he posted a video on social media showing how he punished his child for staying up late playing mobile games.
The video shows the unnamed father catching his child awake and playing mobile games at 1:00 a.m. The child still had school the following day, but as punishment, the father told him to skip school and play mobile games all day instead.
The child initially enjoyed the punishment, but by 7:00 a.m. he started feeling sleepy. When he tried to sleep, his father woke him up and made him continue playing games.
The father even skipped work to monitor his child’s game playing. The child played games continuously until 6:30 p.m., but he could no longer take more than 17 hours of gameplay, so he begged to rest and promised to limit his mobile gaming.
The story caused controversy among Chinese netizens and many of those who saw it threatened to report the father to the authorities for what they deemed child abuse.

Currently, the video has been deleted, and the father has made a statement saying that he does not recommend other parents discipline their children in the same way he did.
