PAGASA Says Easterlies & HPA to Bring Warm Weather Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that easterlies and the ridge of a high-pressure area will bring warm weather in the country.

On Thursday (March 23, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and a high-pressure area will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the ridge of High Pressure Area is extending over Northern and Central Luzon.

“Inaasahan nga natin na dahil sa ridge ng high pressure area, ay bahagyang magiging bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap ang kalangitan dito sa may Northern and Central Luzon at mababa ang tiyansa ng pag-ulan at magiging mainit ang panahon. Dito naman sa Southern Luzon at bahagi ng Bicol region, ay magiging mainit ang maalinsangan din ang panahon,” Pagasa weather specialist Patrick del Mundo said.

The Easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan, including the Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao, Aurora.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience same weather condition.

“At para naman sa magiging lagay ng panahon sa kalakhang Visayas at Mindanao inaasahan naman natin na magiging maaliwalas ang panahon, at inaasahan din natin ang mainit at maalinsangang panahon,” he added.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern and Central Luzon as well as the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
