PAGASA Says Easterlies to Bring Hot & Humid Weather Condition Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies will bring hot and humid weather over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (March 21, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the easterlies will be affecting the eastern section of the country. It would bring hot and humid weather condition in Luzon and overcast skies with chances of thunderstorms in Visayas and Mindanao.

“Dito sa bahagi ng Luzon ay generally fair weather condition ang ating inaasahan at mainit at maalinsangan ang ating panahon at mababa ang tiyansa ng pag-ulan. Sa bahagi ng Visayas at Mindanao ay magiging bahagyang maulap at maulap ang kalangitan, mayroon lang tayong tiyansa ng isolated thunderstorms,” weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

“Sa kasalukuyan ay easterlies o yung mainit na hangin na galing dagat pasipiko ang umiiral sa silangang bahagi ng ating bansa kung saan dala nito ang mainit at maalinsangang panahon lalong lalo na sa tanghali, at bagama’t mababa ang tiyansa ng mga pag-ulan ay mayroon pa din tayong posibilidad ng mga isolated na pag-ulan pagkulog lalong lalo na sa bahagi ng Mindanao,” Castañeda added.

The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Northern and Central Luzon as well as the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate.

Castañeda also reported that the northeast monsoon may end this week, which will mark the start of hot season.
