LA Tenorio Cancer: Prayers Pour In For Ginebra’s “Iron Man”

In a statement, LA Tenorio reveals his current health condition.

LA TENORIO CANCER – Ginebra’s “Iron Man” LA Tenorio is currently battling cancer and many people pray for his recovery. Here are the comments.

Barangay Ginebra star LA Tenorio has been diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. The legendary player has shared in a statement to update his fans and supporters.

In his statement, he expressed his sincerest apologies to everyone as he used his groin injury as a reason to cover up the real reason behind his absence.

“I was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. The initial testing three weeks ago led me to instantly miss practices and games. I have completed my surgery last week and will soon undergo treatment for the next few months,” the statement read.

He is 38 years old and at 38, he holds the  PBA record for 744 consecutive games played.

He clarified that he is not retiring despite his health status. He vowed to come back and while he continues with his recovery, he will help the coaching staff in the meantime.

Prayers and well-wishes for the legendary player poured in after he released his statement.
