House Speaker Romualdez Speaks on Cong. Arnie Teves’ Concern in Going Home to PH

HOUSE SPEAKER ROMUALDEZ – The House Speaker confirmed that Congressman Arnie Teves called him and expressed his concern on going home.

The authorities are finalizing the investigations over the death of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo, his ally, and several civilians. They were attacked at the Governor’s home in Pamplona last Saturday, March 4.

The Governor is believed to be the target in the attack and the other victims were just dragged into the plot against the politician as they were there when the incident happened. According to his wife, Pamplona Mayor Janice Degamo, the Governor was working on a Saturday when the attacked happened.

The name of Cong. Arnie Teves is one of those that were linked to the killing of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo. The Negros Oriental 3rd District Representative was tagged as the alleged mastermind in the plot against the Governor.

Teves and Degamo are political rivals. The announcement of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) that Degamo is the rightful winner of the May 2022 Gubernatorial Elections unseated Pryde Henry Teves, the younger brother of the Congressman.
