PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (March 13, 2023)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that warmer days are expected as the northeast monsoon may end this week.
On Monday (March 13, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon. A low-pressure area has been spotted east of Surigao del Sur, which may bring rains over parts of the country.
The low-pressure area is expected to bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region. It has a slim chance of developing into a tropical depression.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Aurora, and Northern Quezon.
The LPA and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Visayas and the rest of Mindanao.
The monsoon will bring similar weather condition over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the seaboards of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
The weather agency announced that northeast monsoon season may end this week and warmer days are expected within the next few days.
“Sa nakalipas na taon, normally natatapos ang amihan bandang mid-March, at dahil papunta na tayo sa gitna ng Marso, possibleng ito na ang huling linggo ng northeast monsoon o amihan,” weather specialist Obet Badrina said.
