PAGASA Says 3 Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that three weather condition will bring cloudy skies with rains over parts of the country.
On Tuesday (February 28, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon, shear line, and localized thunderstorms will bring cloudy skies, rain over various parts of the country.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy weather conditions with rains over Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas.
Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. The localized thunderstorms will also bring similar weather conditions over Mindanao.
The weather agency has also warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be moderate to rough, according to the weather bureau.
PAGASA raised gale warning over most of the country. “Dahil sa amihan ay meron pa rin tayong nakataas na gale warning sa seaboards ng Luzon maging sa eastern seaboards ng Visayas at Mindanao,” weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
“Kung saan hindi na muna natin pinapayagan pumalaot yung mga kababayan nating mga mangingisda pati na rin yung may mga maliliit na sasakyan pandagat,” she added.
