After everything, Carla Abellana said she’s no longer mad at her ex-husband.
CARLA ABELLANA – Kapuso actress Carla Abellana opened up about something regarding her split with her former husband Tom Rodriguez.
No one surely expected that shortly after a beautiful wedding, Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez and actress Carla Abellana would end up separating. They have been together for so long before they tied the knot but just three months after their wedding, they separated.
In a recent interview, Carla did not specifically disclose the real reason that caused them to separate for good and it looks like it was so heavy as she was firm in not coming back to him.
Accordingly, what happened was she reached her limit. She gave her all and not sure where she fell short but she is short that she gave everything that she could. She explained, “There was still disrespect, all the lying, and all that. There was no change. Hindi po ‘yon first time na nangyari sa’min pero ito po ay taken to a different level. Extreme na po, mas malala na.”
She was also granted a protection order against Tom after their separation.
And in the same interview, Carla expressed that she is no longer mad at him. She is not angry anymore at him.
She believes that this is easier than being burdened by it by carrying it for a long time. In terms of forgiveness, she has already forgiven herself. It is her first step: to forgive herself.
“For you to be able to forgive kailangan po ako Tito Boy, ang lagi kong sinasabi, I have to forgive myself first. So yes, I have. Wala man po sa hitsura, but I have,” she said.

Tom filed for divorce in the United States. He is a US citizen and the actress has already received the divorce decree. She has already filed the petition for the recognition of the foreign judgment.
