Tom Rodriguez has spoken about the issues surrounding his breakup with Carla Abellana
Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez has this direct answer to the speculation that he is “bading” or gay that surfaced amid his breakup with actress Carla Abellana.
When it was confirmed that Tom and Carla broke up months after they tied the knot, several speculations against the actor surfaced. It was alleged that he cheated on Carla with another woman while some writeups speculated that he is gay.
There were speculations that surfaced also claiming that the breakup involved money issues. In a recent interview on Ogie Diaz Inspires, the Kapuso actor was asked about the different issues surrounding his breakup with his ex-wife.
Tom Rodriguez admitted that it is difficult to unlove his former partner. He also said that he is still in the process of moving on. The actor also shared that at the height of the issue, he really had a difficult time and he was detaching himself from society.
During the interview, talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz asked him about the speculations against him. “Bading ba si Tom?” Ogie asked. The actor said that if this is the worst thing that people can say to him, he does not find it as an insult. He explained that most of the wonderful people he knows and interacts with happen to be gay.
When Ogie said that people might say that Tom is beating around the bush, the talent manager urged the actor to answer it directly. “Yes or no lang,” Ogie said and Tom answered, “No.”
The actor added that if people do not believe this, then, he can do nothing about it and he does not care. Then, Tom Rodriguez was asked if he has another woman, and he jokingly asked back, “Ngayon or dati?” He said that back then, at the height of the issue, he has no “ibang babae.”
