Cherry Pie Picache Agrees to Play Imelda Marcos but Not with Darryl Yap
Veteran actress Cherry Pie Picache agrees to play former first lady Imelda Marcos but not under controversial director Darryl Yap.
During the media event for Joel Lamanga’s film “Oras de Peligro,” the actress bravely and directly answered press questions about Director Darryl Yap. Darryl will direct, and Cherry Pie was asked if she would be offered the role of Mrs. Imelda R. Marcos.
Pero by Darryl Yap, no!” she said. On question why she doesn’t want Darryl to direct, “Ewan ko, may konsensiya pa ba siya?”
Cherry Pie also reminded the media today of the importance of social media. She stressed that their film is simply a tool to encourage people to fight misinformation.
The entire cast is proud of “Oras de Peligro,” which is said to depict the truth about the EDSA revolution. Based on the article, Apollo Abraham, Marcus Madrigal, Timothy Castillo, Elora Espano, Jim Pebanco, Mae Paner, Dave Bornea, Rico Barrera, Alvi Siongco, Gerald Santos, Crysten Dizon, Nanding Josef, Therese Malvar, Allan Paule, and Allen Dizon also appear in the film.
