Darryl Yap Airs Dismay to Viva after Insisting to Cut Some Scenes in His Film MoM
Controversial director Darryl Yap slammed Viva Films after insisting to cut some scenes of his “Martyr or Murderer” (MoM) film.
Yap took to Facebook to express his dissatisfaction with Viva Films. This after the production company allegedly urged Yap to cut some scenes of his most awaited film, “Martyr or Murderer”.
According to his Facebook post, Viva Films is adamant about removing a scene from his film. You can really sense the director’s insanity because he even stated that if Viva insists on removing it, he will release it.
He added that if the film was to be released with the director’s cut, the company should also remove him. He also insisted that he has sources and evidence, and that he is fighting hard for it.
He said in the post, “Kung ipipilit ng Viva na tanggalin itong sequence na ipinaglalaban ko na ng 2 oras; tanggalin na rin nila ako.” wag nyo na ipalabas kung di kasama.”
Director Darryl continued in his post, “kapagod. tang*n*. Gusto ko lang magkwento, may ebidensya, may source, may basis! I DON’T WANT A DIRECTOR’S CUT.”
Many netizens commented on his post, agreeing that everything should be included in the film. Speaking of issues, many netizens are skeptical about the sequence they intend to include in the director’s cut. That was after Direk Darryl posted on Facebook on February 12th, which appears to be a reference to his previous post.
“When I said, MARCOS did not kill AQUINO— I meant it with certainty, I know it 100%. and if you sympathize with the former Senator, you will realize we are all entitled to know the whole truth; for his supporters’ peace, for the justice, we all deserve to feel.”
The film “Martyr or Murderer” is the sequel to the controversial and blockbuster film “Maid in Malacaang,” and it will be released in Philippine theaters on March 1. Among those featured are Christine Reyes, Cesar Montano, Ella Cruz, Eula Valdez, Isko Moreno, Ruffa Gutierrez, Diego Loyzaga, and many others.
