Bela Padilla and Marco Gumabao are overwhelmed by people’s reactions to their onscreen partnership
Actress Bela Padilla and actor Marco Gumabao shared their thoughts on their chemistry in the movie Spellbound.
Bela has already done several romantic movies with elements of comedy and drama but this is the first time that the horror genre was incorporated into her project. Previously, the actress admitted that she avoids doing horror movies because, in real life, she easily gets scared.
However, her upcoming movie that premiered on January 30 was something that she felt she really want to do because she liked the material. She also shared that they started filming in January 2020 but due to the lockdown, it was postponed.
During the premiere night, Bela Padilla and Marco Gumabao received admiration because of their beautiful chemistry onscreen. The actor said that it was a surprise for them as well because somehow they are nervous about the people’s reactions, based on the article in PUSH.
“Actually, first time din po naming mapanood yung film so nagulat din po kami talaga. Kinakabahan kami kanina backstage hindi n’yo lang po alam. Sobrang kinakabahan kami because three years na nga po ito in the making and some scenes hindi ko na talaga naaalala,” Marco shared.
He added that perhaps the fact that he and Bela have been good friends for many years now was a factor why their connection onscreen was good. Marco also admitted that he also got “kilig” to a certain scene in the movie
“Nung nanonood tayo may isang eksena na sobrang naapektuhan ako at sobra akong natahimik kasi nakakakilig yung scene. Nagulat ako na kinilig ako. Sobrang rare kasi na kiligin ako sa scene na gingawa ko kaya nakakatuwa,” the actor said.
For Bela Padilla, there were two results that might come out from their onscreen partnership as she and Marco Gumabao are longtime friends.
“Hindi ko rin in-expect kasi nga ang tagal na rin naming magkaibigan. It can work either way and go really, really well or it doesn’t work at all kasi nga magkaibigan kayo so wala nang spark. So shocking ito for me but in a very pleasant way, ang saya,” the actress shared.
