Bela Padilla shot a movie in South Korea
Multihyphenate Bela Padilla stars in the movie Ultimate Oppa with Kim Gun-woo and Jasper Cho, and it is finally released after two years.
The actress-writer-director started filming this project in 2020. In her recent Instagram post, she shared that they shot the film when COVID was still “a little bit more than a rumor.”
Apparently, the project was delayed because of the lockdown. Finally, after two years, the movie started streaming on Prime Video. In her post, Bela said that it was “surreal” for her to see the movie’s trailer for the first time.
It is a fact that many Pinoys are K-drama or K-Pop fans. In the movie, Bela Padilla plays the character of Yana, a Filipina who is a fan of Korean actor Moon Shi Woo played by Jasper Cho.
Her dream to meet her favorite Korean star came true when she was invited to join the fans of Shi Woo from other parts of the globe at a meet-and-greet event. As fans were competing against each other to get the attention of Shi Woo, Yana found herself falling for Jae, the manager, played by Kim Gun-woo.
Prime Video’s caption to teased the viewers said, “Who said romance only exists in K-Drama? Bela Padilla, Kim Gun Woo, and Jasper Cho discover a love that Hallyu dreams are made of.”
In the comment section on the Facebook Page of the streaming platform, many Pinoy K-drama fans expressed their thoughts. “Grabe si belllaaaaa!!! Ikaw na talaga baka sa susunod nyan park seo joon na,” Facebook user Athayallah Luna commented.
There were also a lot who expressed “kilig” to the movie trailer and they are excited to watch the movie. “Sana all..can’t wait to watch this,” Facebook user Jo Ann Lee said.
