Deniece Cornejo’s camp wanted to reverse the bail grant for Vhong Navarro but their motion has been junked.
VHONG NAVARRO – The bail grant of Vhong Navarro is wanted to be reversed by the camp of Deniece Cornejo but her motion has been denied.
In a previous article, the camp of the model Deniece Cornejo did not like the decision of the court to allow temporary freedom for Vhong Navarro. They filed for a motion for reconsideration and later on expressed that they wanted it reverse to file for a new warrant against the actor.
To recall, Navarro posted bail for temporary freedom. It cost him Php 1 million to be able to get out of jail and the grant was made following the inconsistencies found in the statements of the complainant. Cornejo’s camp filed a motion for reconsideration with a motion to inhibit in Branch 69 of Taguig Regional Trial Court.
And just recently, in a report from PEP, the Taguig court denied Cornejo’s motion for reconsideration.
Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan of the Taguig Regional Trial Court, Branch 69, issued the order. It stated that the motion “lacks the conformity of the public prosecutor”. Citing the Rules of the Court and a Supreme Court decision, the failure to comply led to the denial.
Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, Navarro’s legal counsel, said that the actor is happy over this decision and quipped “Thanks God”. Accordingly, the MR really bothered Vhong last month but they’ve found a loophole to it.
The actor is always assured and the lawyer added, “I was telling him to always pray first for the wisdom that His glorious will be given the correct wisdom to be able to answer all the allegations. So that we can defend him properly. So, tiwala lang talaga sa Diyos.”
