Franki Russell joins the cast of ‘MoM’
Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Franki Russell portrays the ex-girlfriend of actor Diego Loyzaga in the movie Martyr or Murderer, the second installment of director-writer Darryl Yap’s trilogy.
Last year, Maid in Malacanang was released and this created a loud buzz in cinemas in the Philippines as well as in different countries. It showed the last 72 hours of the Marcos family in the Palace. For the sequel, the story will look back to the time before Martial Law happened.
In the movie, Diego played the character of Bongbong Marcos and his father Cesar Montano also plays his father in the movie, Ferdinand Marcos. Just recently, Direk Darryl shared a Facebook post revealing that Franki Russell is playing the character of Ms. Claudia Bermudez, the ex-girlfriend of the President.
Franki shared a screenshot of Direk Darryl’s post on her Instagram page and she included a closer look at the photo in which she and Diego were sitting on a kalesa. “Hello mr president @diegoloyzaga ‘Martyr or Murderer,’” the actress wrote in the caption of her post. She also announced that the movie will be released this 2023.
To recall, Franki and Diego were linked to each other last year. Rumors surfaced that romance was blooming between them after their sweet photos together surfaced online. Netizens even noticed that they have matching tattoos.
The actor admitted in an interview that he and Franki were indeed dating. However, netizens noticed later on that they unfollowed each other on Instagram. The actor said that it was method acting for their movie Pabuya. In a statement last October 2022, Diego said that he is just offering friendship to Franki Russell.
