Police Shoot Wife to Death While Complaining in Inside Precinct in Cebu
Authorities arrested a police after he shot his wife to death inside a precinct in Cebu while filing a complaint against him.
On Christmas Day, a wife was slain after her husband was shot by a police officer inside a police station in Naga City, southern Cebu. Heronia Mata, 39, a teacher, was recognized by Lt Col Junnel Caadlawon, chief of the City of Naga police as the victim.
Heronia went to the police station to report her husband, Staff Sgt. Fernando Mata, 35. Heronia was at the Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) processing her complaint against Fernando, according to police.
Fernando arrived at 2:40 p.m. and shot his wife many times with his service weapon. Fernando did not flee after being arrested. Based on the report, his service weapon was discovered on a table inside the office.
The victim died on the way to the hospital. Caadlawon stated that the pair argued at their home in Barangay Tuyan, Naga City before the victim proceeded to the police station to file a complaint against Fernando.
Heronia had already filed a lawsuit against her husband, alleging that he had repeatedly beaten her. However, after their disagreement was resolved, no charges were filed against the suspect.
According to investigators, the couple had two daughters. The office of the WCPD is located on the second level of the police station. There were only three individuals inside at the time of the incident: the suspect, the victim, and the WCPD officers who attended to the complainant. According to Caadlawon, the suspect will be charged with murder.

I think the husband deserves not only to be jailed but also to I want him to starve and got beaten up inside the jail, I know it’s not allowed, but I want that man to suffer to death and live at guilt, idk why he did that but to the point killing someone because of misunderstanding (?) is not a reason to shot someone multiple times and abused them, I’m very concerned because the justice system here is not good, yes we have women empowerment but that doesn’t mean the rate of misogyny here is low, I feal very bad to their children’s, this is traumatic and can lead to mental disorders like PSTD, I hope they’re doing fine rn maybe not now but soon, I know that they will have a hard time to move on and heal about this case, when I saw the title I said “can I put this on my plot?” But I’m hesitating because they can sue me if I did not give them a permission because I don’t know how to reach them, that’s why even tho I want it to be inspired in my new plot I decided not to do it, that’s why I commented for permission, my stories is not that famous and no one reads it, but yeah maybe this is irrelevant but I just want to ask a permission because I want it to be inspired, that’s all thankyou:)

I’m not saying all but most because I saw many police that doesn’t follow the law, and abusing someone or something, do they think that they’re superior and can do anything because they’re police?
