CPP chief information officer Marco Valbuena was the one who confirmed this news. Joma was famous for being a Filipino writer and activist. He was born on February 8, 1939, and had this Marxism-Leninism-Maoism theory view on the political situation of the Philippines.

And the conflict between the government and the NPA has already killed thousands of individuals.

Current Vice President Sara Duterte has become aware of his death and issued an official statement. It wasn’t the usual lengthy statement as the vice president has only written:

“May God have mercy on his soul.”

He accordingly died peacefully but the reason behind his confinement was not disclosed in the statement.
