Jake Cuenca wants to remain single for now
Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca said that he is not in a hurry to find a new girlfriend after his breakup with actress Kylie Padilla.
Jake and Kylie’s breakup is one of the biggest celebrity breakups that happened this year. Their fans have thought that they will soon tie the knot because of how sweet and compassionate they were to each other.
However, the breakup confirmation came from Jake through his very emotional social media post. In a previous interview, the actor shared that moving on will take some time for him. He even said that it will probably take him a year and a half before he can finally say that he has moved on.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PUSH, Jake Cuenca said that he is not ready to open his heart to a new relationship. “Kumbaga, hindi ako gutom na maghanap ng bagong girlfriend, or maghanap ng pagmamahal. Ngayon, gusto ko lang isukli sa tao lahat ng pagmamahal na ibinibigay nila sa akin—my family, my fans, kayo, my directors and my producers who believe in me,” he said.
He added that the time will come when he will have a girlfriend but for now, he is clinging to what he learned in the past six months and this is to be happy being alone. The actor also said that he does not want to depend on another person for his happiness.
“To be honest, wala pa ako sa mood magka-girlfriend. Nandu’n ako sa gusto kong bumawi sa pamilya ko. Gusto kong mag-provide, gusto kong dalhin ang nanay ko sa lahat ng bansa na gusto niyang puntahan,” Jake said. He also wants to provide for the needs of his family.
For Jake Cuenca, this experience is one of the hardest things he encountered and gladly, he was able to surpass that. He is thankful that his family was there to help him stand up again.
