Boy Abunda Says: “Natuto akong lumipad sa ABS-CBN”

This is what Boy Abunda shared on his decision to leave ABS-CBN company.

BOY ABUNDA – King of Talk Boy Abunda is now officially a Kapuso and in an interview, he revealed what happened when he left his old company.

On December 15, King of Talk Boy Abunda makes an official comeback to the network where his career started. He signed a new contract with the Kapuso network which ultimately ended the speculations and stories circulating online about it.

In a previous article, he shared that the loss of his home and loss of television shows made him decide to jump to another ship. What he just wants is to return to television and be a host again – a job that he knows to do and that he is also passionate about.

“I am back because gusto kong makabalik sa telebisyon, gusto kong gumawa ng mga palabas, gusto kong gumawa ng trabaho na alam ko gawin at trabaho na mahal ko. That’s the reason I’m back,” he expressed.

And in leaving ABS-CBN, he made sure to not burn bridges. He talked to his former bosses in a proper way and what makes this journey of him difficult is how he values relationships.

“Nag-umpisa ako ng karera ko sa telebisyon sa Channel 7. Parati kong sinasabi na doon ako natuto maglakad, [at] natuto akong lumipad sa ABS-CBN. Mahirap dahil may mga relasyon akong pinangangalagaan,” he quipped.

He stressed that GMA helped him start a career in the industry and they were the ones who believed in his potential but it was with ABS-CBN that he learned to soar and fly high based on a report from PEP.

Abunda started his career as a host in 1994 in GMA but in 1999, he decided to leave. And decades after being with the Kapamilya network, he is now returned to the first home that welcomed him.
