Arnel Pineda One of the Singers Who Plan to Visit the Wake of Jovit Baldivino
ARNEL PINEDA – The lead singer of Journey, an American rock band, wants to visit the wake of Jovit Baldivino according to fellow singer Marcelito Pomoy.
The death of Jovit Baldivino is a huge sadness for the Philippine music industry. Several prominent figures in the industry grieve the loss not just of a fellow singer but a friend. Pilipinas Got Talent season 2 grand winner Marcelito Pomoy is one of those who is saddened by the loss of Jovit.
Jovit was the first grand champion of the ABS-CBN reality talent search show Pilipinas Got Talent or PGT. Among his signature songs are Queen’s Too Much Love Will Kill You and Journey’s Faithfully.
Faithfully was one of the last three (3) songs sang by Jovit Baldivino in an event in Batangas where he had his second bout with stroke. He was rushed to the hospital after he sang.
Jovit was only recuperating from his first bout with mild stroke last November 22 when he was invited by a friend to a party. However, he was not able to say no to the crowd’s cheers for him to sing. He sang three (3) songs despite the doctor’s advice not to sing and do strenuous activities while he is recovering.
Jovit had stroke again and a blood clot was found in his brain. He went through an operation and was in comatose for five (5) days before he died.
The wake of Jovit is currently held at their family home in Rosario, Batangas. Marcelito Pomoy who said he cannot attend his singer friend’s burial on December 14, 2022 recently visited the wake ahead of his shows.
Based on the post of ABN VLOG channel on Facebook, when asked if there are other singers who want to visit the wake of Jovit Baldivino, Marcelito named Arnel Pineda, Angeline Quinto, and Mitoy.
According to Marcelito, Arnel asked for the address of the house of Jovit so they can visit. The Journey lead singer and the PGT season 1 grand champion had previous duets.
Arnel Pineda is the Pinoy lead singer of Journey, an American rock band, which is the main singer of Faithfully, one of the signature songs in the music career of Jovit. Arnel rose to fame in the Philippines in the 1980s and he became even popular across the glove in 2007 when he became the vocalist of Journey.
