Ogie Diaz shared that Andrea Brillantes has this upcoming TV project
Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes will play the iconic role of Dyesebel and this was revealed by talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz.
Andrea is indeed one of the fast-rising stars of her generation. She has been featured in several Kapamilya series that boosted her career. It was said that next year, she will have a TV project that is considered to be one of the most-coveted roles in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Ogie shared in his recent Showbiz Update vlog that Dyesebel will have its remake and the titular role will be played by Andrea. “Walang iba kung hindi si Andrea Brillantes, sa 2023 ito,” he said.
Then, the talent manager-vlogger wished Andrea Brillantes “good luck.” He also said that there were those who asked if the young actress knows how to swim. “Yes, marunong mag-swim,” Ogie said.
The talent manager-vlogger also shared that Andrea’s mom is actually a diver and the actress has started her training. “Mahusay na siyang sumisid,” Ogie said. He also said that he hopes Andrea’s leading man in the series will be her real-life boyfriend Ricci Rivero because he has very manly features.
Dyesebel is created by Mars Ravelo who also created Darna. Over the years, the iconic mermaid role has been played by equally iconic actresses such as Vilma Santos, Alma Moreno, Alice Dixson, Charlene Gonzales, and Anne Curtis.
As of this writing, ABS-CBN has not yet released an official announcement about this project.
Meanwhile, last October, Andrea Brillantes shared that she filmed something in Thailand. She said that it was a very different project from the previous dramas that she did. The actress also said that although she worked with Pinoys in the said project, the audience will really be surprised.
