Elon Musk Slides to No. 2 in Billionaires’ List of Forbes
ELON MUSK – The Tesla CEO lost his title as the “richest man in the world” based on the billionaires’ list of Forbes.
For more than a year now, Tesla Chief Executive Officer and product architect Elon Musk holds the title as the “Richest Man in the World” based on Forbes list. This year, he ranked first in Forbes 400 and Forbes’ Billionaires list.
Aside from being the CEO and product architect of Tesla, a popular electric-car maker company in the Philippines, Musk is also the founder, CEO, and engineer of American spacecraft manufacturer company SpaceX. He is also the founder of the American infrastructure company The Boring Company and the co-founder of nuerotechnology company Neuralink and artificial intelligence research laboratory OpenAI.
Recently, Elon Musk bought Twitter under a $44 billion deal. He abruptly fired several of the high position officers behind the social media giant. However, following the huge Twitter deal, the Tesla CEO slided down to No. 2 in Forbes’ Billionaires List with French businessman Bernard Arnault getting the title as the richest man in the world.
In multiple reports, the decrease in the wealth of Musk was linked to his multi-billion deal for the purchase of Twitter and the drop in Tesla shares.
Based on the latest update in the Billionaires List of Forbes, as of this writing, the net worth of Elon Musk is at $185 billion. Above his wealth now as to Forbes’ list is the $186.2 billion net worth of Bernard Arnault and his family.
Bernard Arnault is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LVMH, the parent company of luxury brand Louis Vuitton. There are over 70 fashion and cosmetics brands under the LVMH which is also the parent company of Sephora.
According to Forbes, the business success of Arnault started when he bought Christian Dior in 1985 for $15 million. The money was from the construction business of his father.
The list of Forbes updates from time-to-time. Prior to Musk, it was Amazon founder Jeff Bezos who held the title “Richest Man in the World” for several years.
