Elon Musk Reacts To Issues Involving Twitter, Apple App Store
ELON MUSK – The world’s richest man said that he will make his own smartphone in case Apple’s app store will ditch Twitter.
The richest man in the world now is business tycoon Elon Musk. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and product architect of Tesla, an American multinational automotive company. He is also the founder, CEO, and chief engineer of American spacecraft manufacturer and satellite communications firm SpaceX.
Recently, Musk made headlines after buying social media giant Twitter. Prior to the deal, he joined the boards behind the social media platform. He bought the platform for $44 billion. Reports stated that he fired some of the top officials including those who criticized him.
After removing from their posts the engineers that criticized him, Musk fired dozen more employees the night before the Thanksgiving day. Recently, he spoke about the alleged possibility that Apple Inc will block the social media platform on its app store.
Based on a report on Insider, Elon Musk seems not threatened even if Apple Inc would really ditch Twitter on its app store. According to him, he is willing to build his own smartphone if it happens.
Musk accused Apple Inc. of pressuring Twitter over content moderation demands. The iPhone maker has yet to issue a statement regarding the matter.
Based on the article, Elon Musk expressed on Friday that he will come up with an alternative phone that can compete with iPhone if Apple will really block Twitter on its app store.
Musk admitted that the changes he implemented on Twitter can really get the social media platform blocked by the app store but he hopes that it will not lead to it.
