Recently, citing US media, ABS-CBN News reported that billionaire Elon Musk took control of the social media and fired the top executives. Personal Background:

Born on June 28, 1971 in Pretoria, South Africa, Elon Reeve Musk is the eldest among the three children of Errol Musk and Maye Musk. His father is a South African electromagnetic engineer, consultant, pilot, sailor, and property developer. His mother was a model and dietitian. He has a younger brother, Kimbal, and a younger sister, Tosca.

However, the parents of Elon separated and he made a choice to live with his father. Unfortunately, some things did not work well between he and his dad and he became estranged towards his father. His father remarried and he has two (2) paternal half-siblings – a brother and a sister.

Elon went to several schools such as the University of Pretoria; the Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario; the University of Pennsylvania; and the Wharton School.

In 1995, Elon and his brother Kimbal founded Zip2, a software company. They borrowed money from their father to put up the said company. In 1999, he co-founded X.com.
