Bea Alonzo will have her first-ever ‘Magpakailanman’ episode
Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo shared her thoughts on having her first Magpakailanman appearance after her transfer to GMA last year.
Bea is one of the premier actresses of her generation. For two decades, she has showcased her acting prowess in her former home network. She has done hit TV dramas and blockbuster movies.
It is known to many that Bea’s decision to sign a contract with GMA-7 after 20 years of being a Kapamilya became controversial. She was accused of being ungrateful to her former home network.
However, in a statement, Bea Alonzo stressed that she talked to her former bosses about her decision and that she did not burn bridges.
As a Kapuso, her first-ever major project was the TV series Start-Up PH with Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards. In a previous interview, Bea shared her upcoming projects after doing the said series which was adapted from the South Korean series with the same title.
She is set to have her reunion movie with her longtime onscreen partner John Lloyd Cruz. One of the projects that she mentioned was an episode for the 20th anniversary of Kapuso drama anthology Magpakailanman. Bea chose a horror episode but there is more to it than being scared, based on the article in Newsko.
“Hindi lang siya horror story. Tungkol rin ito sa pagkawala ng isang mahal sa buhay, tungkol sa masakit na dinanas ng isang tao na naging dahilan upang magkaroon siya ng mga nakakatakot na karanasan,” the actress said.
More than the hysteria and scenes with a lot of shouting, Bea said that this is also heartbreaking.
The Magpakailanman special episode featuring Bea Alonzo will be aired on December 10 and it is directed by Jerry Lopez-Sineneng who also directed her in Start-Up PH.
