POCO has confirmed that the POCO F9 Series will launch on September 1. As the top-tier model in the lineup, POCO F9 Ultra continues to explore a more premium flagship experience while placing even greater emphasis on gaming, making performance and gameplay two defining priorities of this generation.
At the heart of the gaming experience, the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, VisionBoost D8, WildBoost Optimization and LiquidCool Technology work together to deliver powerful, sustained performance. Paired with a 185Hz AMOLED display, the system enables gaming at up to 185FPS with responsive touch control.
Yet POCO F9 Ultra does not limit its premium experience to gaming. An 8050mAh battery, 100W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge support demanding use, while the Sound by Bose 2.1-channel audio system, 200MP main camera and 50MP 5x periscope telephoto camera bring audio, entertainment and imaging into the spotlight as well.

POCO F9 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform and paired with VisionBoost D8. For demanding workloads, it also features LiquidCool Technology: a 6300mm² ultra-large LHP area, 17,820mm² of graphite coverage and a raised 3D structure above the chipset work together to improve thermal conductivity. According to POCO laboratory data, the design can reduce SoC temperature by up to 3°C, providing a stronger thermal foundation for sustained performance.
Building on that foundation, WildBoost Optimization selects scheduling strategies according to target frame rates and game scenarios, actively mitigates frame drops, dynamically manages thermals and balances power consumption. The flagship platform supplies the computing power, while cooling and scheduling further support performance under demanding workloads.
Gaming at up to 185FPS and the 185Hz AMOLED display relate to two different parts of the experience. Up to 185FPS refers to the highest frame-rate experience available in supported games, while 185Hz is the display’s maximum refresh capability and provides the visual foundation for supported high-frame-rate content.
According to official compatibility information, the F9 Series supports native 185FPS gameplay in 24 titles, while selected popular games can run at 165FPS.
The F9 Series also supports a touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz across ten touch points and an instantaneous touch sampling rate of up to 4800Hz, helping improve responsiveness during rapid taps, swipes and multi-finger inputs. These features must be enabled in the corresponding Game Turbo mode.

#185Hz M11 Display + Sound by Bose — Premium Experiences Beyond Gaming
POCO F9 Ultra features a 6.9-inch 185Hz AMOLED display and is the first globally to use the M11 display panel. According to official data, the M11 panel uses a new-generation green OLED emissive material that improves luminous efficiency by 20%. It reaches 4500 nits of multi-scenario peak brightness at 25% APL and up to 10,000 nits of local peak brightness at 1% APL. Compared with the previous generation’s 120Hz display, it combines a higher refresh rate with further gains in brightness and efficiency.
In supported high-frame-rate games, the 185Hz refresh capability can present higher-frame-rate visuals. It also contributes to the overall display experience in everyday scrolling, interface animations and high-refresh-rate content, while the M11 panel’s brightness and luminous efficiency reinforce its all-round credentials as a premium flagship display.
POCO F9 Ultra features Sound by Bose, with dual symmetrical 1115D speakers and a dedicated 1620 woofer forming a 2.1-channel audio system. POCO F9 Ultra has not devoted all of its resources to performance, cooling and battery capacity. Imaging is also an important part of its premium hardware package.
It features a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP front camera. The 200MP mode preserves more image information and provides greater flexibility for cropping, reframing and editing, while the overall setup covers the main, ultra-wide and telephoto perspectives users rely on most.

POCO F9 Ultra’s 5x periscope telephoto camera also supports 10x lossless zoom, telephoto portraits, telephoto macro and 4K 60fps video recording, offering a more complete telephoto experience from close-up detail to distant subjects.
While retaining a 5x periscope telephoto camera, POCO F9 Ultra upgrades the main camera from 50MP on the previous generation to 200MP.
