This is how Bea Alonzo chooses a role
Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo said that “choosing roles is like finding love” and here is the reason why she said this.
Bea has done many remarkable roles in teleseryes and in movies as well. Among her notable characters are Bobby in Four Sisters and a Wedding and Basha in One More Chance and A Second Chance.
In choosing roles, Bea is apparently very particular in saying yes to the project that would really define her as an actress. Previous rumors surfaced that she is being very choosy with the projects being presented to her by the Kapuso network.
The said rumors circulated months after she officially signed a contract with GMA but she was not able to do a project right away. In a recent interview, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, Bea Alonzo likened the way of choosing roles to how finding love is.
“You’ll feel it when you see it. I always like to be surprised. When I read a script, I know precisely when the project or role is for me. It’s a journey. Sometimes you can make mistakes, but it’s all part of it,” the Start-Up PH star explained.
She also said that once the right choice was made it is easy to open up and make other people happy. “Have the guts to choose para maitawid mo ang pagsubok,” she said, adding that every choice a person would make, no matter how small it is, will have a reward.
Looking forward to her career years from now, the Kapuso actress said that she hopes five years from now, she will be able to do different genres already. “It’s something that excites me, especially now that I’m in my 30s. I know that I am more in control of my life and my career,” Bea Alonzo.
Aside from her Kapuso series with Alden Richards, Yasmien Kurdi, and Jeric Gonzales, Bea also has an upcoming movie 1521. There are projects lined up for her as well in 2023 and 2024.
