Snubbing Parody of Gretchen Ho & Alex Calleja Goes Viral
GRETCHEN HO – The snubbing parody of volleyball player-turned-TV host Gretchen Ho and stand-up comedian Alex Calleja went viral on social media.
The Flying Titans received a lot of backlash on social media over the weekend after a viral video showed how they failed to greet some fans who were waiting by their shuttle during their vacation in Boracay.
The issue further fanned when Kapuso anchor Kuya Kim Atienza tweeted the video and reminded the volleyball players that they are public figures and that catering to fans is their responsibility. Motivational speaker Rendon Labrador also reacted to the team’s viral video.
The posts were malicious, according to Choco Mucho management, who addressed the issue on Monday. This damaged the reputations of both the company and the players.
The statement added that publishing those “innuendoes” would only harm the volleyball community and endanger the well-being of their athletes. The team claims that the viral video did not adequately show how accommodating the players were during their brief vacation in Boracay.

Stand-up comedian Alex Calleja appeared to be updated on the viral videos on social media as he created a snubbing parody clip with Kapamilya television host and volleyball star Gretchen Ho.
Amid the snubbing incident involving the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, Alex pretended to be calling Gretchen while she was walking down a hallway. However, the female host did not wave back nor acknowledge him despite repeatedly calling her attention.
“Nagulat ako kasi hindi man lang ako pinansin ni Gretchen Ho. Kahit kaway o hello man lang #MayManiniwalaDitoPustahan,” he said on Twitter.
Gretchen retweeted the video, saying she was wearing her earphones during that time.
