On December 1, 2022, a video posted by a netizen that showed the Choco Mucho Flying Titans volleyball team allegedly snubbed fans who approached them while visiting Boracay went viral on social media. As seen and heard in the video, the fans approached the volleyball players one at a time as they boarded their shuttle, but most of them merely kept going, with the exception of Bea de Leon, who gave them a single nod.

The video of the Choco Mucho team quickly became viral and elicited various reactions from volleyball fans and well-known figures, including Kuya Kim. On December 4, 2022, the Kapuso host vented his frustration with what he witnessed via a Facebook post.

Kuya Kim Atienza said it is sad to see such interactions between fans and public personalities. Rendon Labrador, a motivational speaker in addition to Kuya Kim, reacted first.

Following backlash from the public, the management of the well-known Premier Volleyball League (PVL) team defended its players in a social media post on Monday.

After the issue regarding the alleged snubbing of volleyball player Deanna Wong, she remained silent about the accusation against her on social media. But other fans proved that they are untrue and that maybe the athlete is just “tired” or just wants to enjoy their vacation in Boracay.

In fact, Deanna’s video is now viral where she can be seen waving and smiling to greet her fan. She was on vacation with her partner Ivy Lacsina in El Nido, Palawan and the two met a fan while riding a tricycle.

@beyuhdel’s tweet shows Deanna noticing her while she was riding in the sidecar with Ivy who even gave a flying kiss and waved. Ivy even jokingly said “bawal po” after they waved at their fan.
