Lolit Solis reacted to this recent issue raised by Jennylyn Mercado
Veteran showbiz writer Lolit Solis said that it sounded untrue when Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercardo aired her complaint against S&R.
In an Instagram Story, Jennylyn showed the meat she bought from the said supermarket. It can be seen in the photo that some parts of the meat have a different color from the usual reddish color.
The actress tagged the official IG page of S&R asking if it is still safe to cook that kind of meat. Regarding this issue, Lolit shared her thoughts. In her recent IG post, the showbiz writer said, “parang hindi totoo.”
“Dahil usually pag bumibili ka sa supermarket, tinitignan mo ang inilalagay mo sa cart. Imposible naman na duon pa lang sa supermarket hindi niya na check ang lagay ng karne na binili niya,” Lolit Solis pointed out, adding that the actress could have complained right there and then.
The showbiz writer said that it is not good that a big supermarket will get involved in this unpleasant situation. Lolit also stressed that the issue is hard to delete once it is posted on social media.
“Pero ang talagang questionable, how come na kung pangit na hitsura ng karne, kinuha at inuwi pa sa bahay saka nag reklamo. Unfair naman para sa SnR di ba?” she said.
Lolit said that before paying for what you want to purchase, you should check first the items in your cart. She wonders why Jennylyn Mercado was not able to do this. The writer said that the supermarket could have a counter-complaint against the actress.
Then, Lolit Solis stressed that she still believes that S&R is selling products with high quality, especially this holiday season. “Mas lalo silang maingat sa paninda nila, I am sure,” Lolit said and invited her fellow writers to shop in the said supermarket.
