Mel Tiangco is aware that she would trend on social media because of bloopers
Veteran news anchor Mel Tiangco shared how she reacts to her bloopers in the Kapuso primetime news program 24 Oras.
Mel has been a news presenter for many years now and it can be said that she is already an expert in this field. However, just like many veteran news anchors during live broadcasts, Mel also has her fair share of bloopers.
In a recent interview for her drama anthology Magpakailanman, based on the article in PEP, Mel admitted that her bloopers also make her laugh. “Naiinis ka sa sarili mo na, ‘Bakit ko ba sinabi iyon?'” she said while laughing.
The veteran broadcaster also shared that her colleagues Mike Enriquez and Vicky Morales are aware if they are trending topics on social media. Mel Tiangco also said that she knows there are times that they trend online because of a positive reason while there are times it is because of a negative reason.
“Pag positive, of course, I love it. It means that your televiewers love you, ganun lang yun, e. Kapag negative naman, gustung-gusto ko nang sumagot!” she said laughing. She added that at times, there were comments that are uncalled for and out of this world.
At times, she would just ask herself if that really happened. However, Mel said that she is not taking seriously the negative reactions. She would just let them pass. On the other hand, the veteran broadcaster said that she is not on social media and she has no plan to indulge in vlogging as well.
She admitted that she is not a Gen Z. Mel Tiangco also shared that she was invited to guest on Family Feud but she declined. “Ay ayoko, baka wala akong maisagot. Ang edad namin hindi na dapat ganoon, mapapahiya ka pa,” she said.
